2022 Community Easter Egg Hunt

April 16th, 2022

Every spring, many families in this area share the tradition of going on an Easter Egg Hunt! However, several families within the area feel as if they may not be able to participate in this tradition as they may have children with special needs, are younger, or do not feel included. Here at Hometown Auto Chillicothe, we wanted to make sure everyone felt included and had the opportunity to experience some of the fun activities of the Easter season!

You may ask yourself, how did they include everyone? It was easy! Our staff worked very diligently with The Pioneer Center to ensure that we could produce an Egg Hunt that was sensory-friendly for children with all needs! On top of being able to have a sensory-friendly hunt, the City of Chillicothe donated the Ohio Millennium Grove Park to us to use all day. Millennium Grove Park was the perfect area with walking paths accessible to walkers, wheelchairs, and strollers. To make this event even more special, we held a Chinese Auction with over 20 items donated from local businesses! 100% of the proceeds from the Chinese auction were donated to the Pioneer Center!

We met with the Pioneer School Principal and donated a check to support the Pioneer School and everything they do in this community!

With over 400 guests in attendance, all of us here at Hometown Auto can genuinely say the day was an absolute BLAST! From the firetruck brought in from Chillicothe Fire Department, the bounce houses set up by Triple Crown Family Fun Center, to the State Highway Patrolman cruiser! It was amazing watching all these children hunt for over 5000 Easter Eggs!

We cannot wait for the 2023 Easter Egg Hunt! Guess what?! IT'S ALREADY IN THE WORKS!
